Happy International Women's Day!

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is the perfect call to action. #EmbraceEquity and take action. Equity takes more than just talking about what needs to happen to create change. It takes action. We all play a role in gender equity and how we show up for women and girls in our community.

It may seem like an overwhelming task and like you don’t know where to start. But it doesn’t have to be! And we’ve got you covered with a few ideas to get started.

Here are a few ways you can #EmbraceEquity today and every day:

o Spotlight stories of women and girls

o Host or attend a women’s panel or event

o Support women-owned businesses and initiatives

o Start a group to connect with the women in your community. It can be as simple as meeting for coffee or lunch, or working out

o Learn more about gender equity and share your knowledge

o Create equity goals to close gaps in small ways

o Make sure women are represented in meetings and in leadership roles and that their voices are heard

o Host women’s focused or girl focused events
